Current Projects

at the Scottish ParliamentAt a national level we have petitioned the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Executive to adopt a Play strategy for Scotland

At a local level we are working to raise the profile of our group, find decision makers who will listen to us, gain support from the local community and other organisations.

Within our individual neighbourhoods we have created a programme of engaging with interested children and families.

In Provanmill a "D" shaped piece of grass is in the process of being transformed into a vibrant usable space, children and adults have made bird feeders, planted fruit trees and flowers, used a planter made from railway sleepers to grow potatoes, herbs and flowers and made signs to discourage pet fouling.

In the Hawthorn Housing Co-operative area in Possilpark we have been involved with asking the local community for their ideas on a wee space, cleaning it up, planting on it and using the space for storytelling sessions.

At Possilpoint the local council run community centre, we have been involved in asking local children and families their views on the space outside the centre, planting in whiskey barrels and willow sculpture.

Currently we are developing a workshop which we will use to engage with more local families to gain support for our ideas and to find out what their aspirations are.
